Documents Requirement
Please prepare your documents according to requirement in visa checklists before submitting your application. The guidelines checklist listed on this site will help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible.
It is mandatory to submit checklist along with all visa application forms and supporting documents at the time of submission. Set of all documents required should be attached along with all applications.
NOTE:
Hotel Reservations –
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets –
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement –
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others –
- Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport.
- For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.
- Please note that failure to follow the above mentioned guidelines may result in the delay of visa issuance.
Photo Specifications
Please provide two recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:
- Taken against a white background so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
- Clear share quality and with the 80% face in focus.
- Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
- Full face, non-smiling [without glasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
- Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.
- Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre.
Processing Time
The normal visa processing period of the Embassy is 4 working days. Granting the decision of visa application is at complete discretion of Embassy.
